The SellaRonda Skimarathon 2021 waves its white flag!
For the second consecutive year the most popular night time ski mountaineering race which was planned for the 19 March 2021 has been cancelled.
«We waited a long time to make this final decision, – said Oswald Santin president of the Organizing Committee – hoping for a generally improved pandemic situation. But at this moment we see no possibility of making the race happen the way we have known it for the past 25 years and that is with more than 20.000 participants. The alternative would have been a “COVID version” but for us, as organizers, it simply was not a viable option.»
Two years running without the SellaRonda Skimarathon puts to the test all the supporters, sponsors and above all the skialpers who could have trained freely this winter season waiting for the excitement of the starting gunshot of the SellaRonda Skimarathon.
This excitement has now been postponed until the year 2022, the headquarters for the 25th edition will not change: Corvara/Alta Badia.
