SellaRonda Skimarathon, from Corvara in Alta Badia Friday 25 March, 16 nations will step on the starting line.

The slopes of the Dolomiti Superski are perfect, it will be an amazing race.

After a two year long break on Friday 25 March the SellaRonda Skimarathon will come back to life, the night time ski-mountaineering team race par excellence, where all the best racers of the world have taken part at least once in their lifetime. The Sellaronda athletes, after setting off from Corvara, will tackle the legendary 4 Dolomite passes: Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella and Gardena to then cross the finish line after 42 kilometres and 2700metres of vertical height gain  inside the Ice Stadium just as in 2016.
Anyone involved in the Sellaronda race is fully aware that the record of 2:56’59’’ established in 2019 by Filippo Barazzuol and William Boffelli can be broken once again.
While it seems to be more difficult to break in the female race where the French athlete Laetitia Roux together with the extraordinary Martina Valmassoi established the time of 3:32’37’’. It all depends on who the athletes stepping on the starting line will be. The starting line with the top skiers has not yet been established, but currently the following teams have confirmed their presence: William Boffelli and Alex Oberbacher, Jakob Herrmann and Matheo Jaquemoud. Among the women Alba De Silvestro and Alessandra Schmid have registered.
In the next few weeks after the ski-mountaineering World Cup which is programmed for next week on the snow of Val Martello (BZ) we will better understand who out of the top athletes will take part in the Sellaronda race.
Currently there are 16 nations enrolled for a total of 1010 athletes (505 teams). 391 are male teams, and 93 mixed teams and 21 female teams.
The following nations will be represented throughout the race:  Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, France, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden and the United States of America.
