Registration for the 24th edition of the SellaRonda Skimarathon opens in less than one month.

The Sella Group, natural theatre of incredible beauty, like every single year at the end of March, will host the SellaRonda Skimarathon athletes.
On the 22nd March 2019 from Selva di Val Gardena the 24th edition will start, it is considered one of the most famous night time ski-mountaineering races in the world. The race is tackled in teams of 2 and during the night, lit up by head lamps, it is 42 kilometres long with 2700 metres of vertical height gain and it runs along the slopes of the largest skiing resort in the world, Dolomiti Superski and its famous slopes which embrace the Sella group.
The Sellaronda athletes after the start which takes place in the centre of the town of Selva will climb up the first two mountain passes, Gardena and Campolongo lit up by the last rays of sun, while the Pordoi pass and Sella pass will be lit up by more than one thousand head lamps. The registration which in the past editions closed in less than an hour, all sold out, will open on the 3 January of next year for Italian teams, while foreign teams can register from the 10th January. There will be 300 race bibs available for national teams, 250 for international teams and 100 reserved for the organization.
The maximum number is of 650 teams. In Val Gardena teams from all over Europe will arrive, as well as from Italy, they will come from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, from Slovenia, from Poland, from Spain, from Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom. American and Canadian athletes will also be present, these past years their interest for the Sellaronda has increased a lot.
