On the 3rd January it will be possible to register for the 25th edition of the SellaRonda Skimarathon.

On the 27th March the start will take place in Corvara (Alta Badia).

On the 27th March 2020 from Corvara in Alta Badia the 25th edition of the night time race on skins which has revolutionised the racing world of ski mountaineering in a quarter of a century will take place.
Approximately 15 000 athletes have worn the SellaRonda Skimarathon racing bib these past few years creating a real exclusive club of Sellaronda skiers.
The chasing of the race bib will open on the 3rd January on the race’s official website www.sellaronda.it, but we have already spotted a few of the Sellaronda athletes writing their letter to Father Christmas asking for the opportunity to take part in the 25th edition of the Sellaronda.

In the meantime Father Christmas these days has been wandering around the four Ladin valleys to put the new SellaRonda Skimarathon brochure under the tree.
The brochure will also be available on line, so that even those who live far away can get all the necessary information on the Sellaronda race, reading anecdotes and interviews with a few of the Sellaronda athletes.
The first opening will be reserved to the Italian teams while foreign teams may register on the 10th January.
There will be 300 race bibs available for Italians, 250 race bibs for the foreign athletes and 100 reserved for the organization

The maximum number of teams will be 650 teams.
On the 15th February the waiting list will be opened.
The SellaRonda Skimarathon, ski-mountaineering competition which is 42 kilometres long with 2700 metres of vertical height gain, runs across the largest skiing resort Dolomiti Superski and runs along the famous slopes which embrace the Sella group, thus conquering the Dolomite passes of Sella, Gardena, Campolongo and Pordoi.
On the 27th March, in no other edition has the race been held so late on in the season, in Alta Badia teams from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, the UK.

As in all the editions there will be American and Canadian athletes competing.
Corvara’s headquarters will be inside the ice stadium, just like in 2016 and the finish line will be placed inside the building. In last year’s edition both the men and women broke the course record.
Filippo Barazzuol and William Boffelli, after battling against the duo Patrick Facchini and Philipp Goetsch, broke the new record with 2h56’59” writing their name in the race’s hall of fame.
In the female race the super favourite at the start, the French Laetitia Roux and Martina Valmassoi crossed the finish line in 3h32’37” also breaking the new record.
In the mixed couples race lets remember the couple Birgit Stuffer and Alex Polig who crossed the finish line in 3:40’21”.
